External Programmer for Controlling Gas and Electric Boilers with Dry Contact

In a heating system, the terneo pro dry contact serves as a weekly programmer to save energy and enhance comfort. Its distinctive feature is the "dry contact," enabling connection to heating systems based on gas or electric boilers. The "dry contact" prevents 230 V supply voltage from reaching the boiler control terminals (5 and 6) from terminals 3 and 4 of the thermostat. Application Areas of terneo pro dry contact:

• controlling an automatic gas boiler
• controlling an automatic electric boiler. If your boiler lacks built-in automation, an additional terneo BeeRT thermostat can be purchased for electric boiler control.
• water-based underfloor heating with thermoelectric heads operating at 24 V. The system supports both normally closed and normally open electrothermal actuators.

If desired, the thermostat with dry contact can also be used for controlling electric underfloor heating and water-based underfloor heating with thermoelectric heads operating at 230 V. However, note that our range includes a similar model, terneo pro, without a dry contact, which might be more convenient for such applications.

Using a programmer with your heating equipment reduces the number of boiler activations, thereby decreasing gas consumption and boiler wear. For greater savings, set a comfortable temperature for the morning and evening, and an economical temperature for when you're at work or asleep.

On first use, the thermostat guides you step by step through all the main settings, saving you time. Additional settings can be adjusted as needed. The parameters you configure are stored in non-volatile memory. The thermostat interface is available in Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, and Czech.

Up to 16 Scheduling Periods Per Day

With the terneo pro dry contact, you can program heating according to a weekly schedule, setting up to 16 temperature periods per day. For example, create a schedule for Monday and use the "Copy Schedule" function to easily apply the same periods to other days of the week.

Additional Settings for Savings

• Energy Consumption Statistics. The thermostat collects energy usage statistics for the day, week, month, and the entire duration of its operation.
• «Open Window Detection». The thermostat can detect an open window based on a sharp drop in room temperature and turn off the heating for 30 minutes, saving energy.
• «Preheating Feature». The thermostat calculates the optimal time to start heating so that the set temperature is reached by the beginning of a new period.
• «Away Mode». During extended absences, this function maintains an economical temperature and restores comfort by the time you return.
• «Battery Saving». Automatically turns off the thermostat at the end of the season to extend the life of the built-in battery, which powers the clock during power outages.

External Temperature Sensor Included

In addition to the built-in air temperature sensor, the package includes an external temperature sensor. If you wish to control the boiler based on the external sensor, select the floor temperature mode in the thermostat settings. The external sensor is also suitable for underfloor heating control or when placing the thermostat in areas like a boiler room while positioning the sensor in the main living area.
