View Q&A

Do settings stay when power is cut off?

Yes, all digital thermostat settings are stored in non-volatile memory.

Are your sensors suitable for other thermostats?

For a sensor to work with another thermostat, you need to check their compatibility. Such thermostat should support a digital sensor DS18B20, an analog sensor R10 (NTC-thermistor) with a resistance of 10 kOhm at 25 ° C, or a TXA thermocouple. Compatibility should be specified in the technical certificate (or instruction) for the thermostat.

What is the diameter of your sensors?

The size depends on the sensor model:

  • analog sensor R10 has an oval form of section, width 7.1 mm, height 5.9 mm and length 15.1 mm;
  • digital sensor D18 has a circular form of section, a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 23 mm;
  • digital sensor D18 (updated design) has an oval form of section, width 8.5 mm, height 7.3 mm and length 20 mm;
  • digital sensor D18 in thermal setting has an oval form of section, width 5.3 mm, height 4.1 mm and length 24 mm.
How often does the thermostat overheat occur?

Several factors influence the possibility of thermostat overheating:

  • long-term operation of the device at maximum loads;
  • poor connection of wires to the thermostat;
  • operation of the device at high environment temperature or external heat sources affect the device.
Is it possible to connect two cables (two or three devices) to one thermostat?

It is possible, but only if the total section of the wire does not exceed 2.5 mm², and the total power of the connected equipment does not exceed the maximum permissible power for which the thermostat is designed. For long-term operation of the thermostat, it should be supplied with a constant load of no more than ⅔ from the maximum.

Does the st, s, pro thermostat screen light constantly or is sleep mode available?

In On mode, the screen lights constantly. To activate sleep mode, turn off the device by the button.

Can the display brightness be adjusted?

Yes. In some new models, up to 9 brightness levels are available and even a complete shutdown of the digital display.

Do settings stay when power is cut off?

All relay settings are stored in non-volatile memory.

How often do ZUBR devices overheat?

Several factors influence the possibility of relay overheating:

  • long-term operation of the device at maximum loads;
  • poor connection of wires to relay;
  • operation of the device at high external temperature or external heat sources act on the device.
What is the difference between a relay with letter "t" and a relay without letter "t"?

Models with "t" letter have thermal protection, as well as some additional functions, unlike models without the letter "t."

Can a voltage relay be used as a voltage stabilizer in the network?

The voltage relay and voltage stabilizer are two different devices. It is rational to use stabilizer at constantly increased or constantly reduced voltage, and a voltage relay is used in stable networks to prevent the impact of emergency situations on the equipment.

What is the difference between a current relay and a voltage relay?

The current relay controls the amount of electric current consumed by connected equipment, and if the set parameter is exceeded, it will turn off the consumers, and the voltage relay will turn off the load in case of emergency situations in the network when voltage parameters increase or decrease more or less than the set limits.

Does the single-phase ZUBR relay control voltage imbalance?

No. Phase imbalance control is available in relays for three-phase networks.

What is the procedure of installing ZUBR relay in the switchboard (after or before the circuit breaker)?

The circuit breaker is installed before ZUBR relay.

Is it possible to use ZUBR on 63 A if the circuit breaker is on 25 A?

Yes. For stable operation, the circuit breaker power should be ⅔ of relay power.

Will the 16A relay work in the switchboard with a 32 A circuit breaker?

Yes, it will, but with a current consumption of more than 16 A, the relay can fail.

Where are devices produced?

The main manufacture is located in Kiev, Ukraine.

Are you official representatives?

DS Electronics owns the terneo, ZUBR brands.

Can I get technical consultation on a product?

Yes, you can text your question in technical support through one of the messengers by following number +380(68) 666-88-50

What is the device warranty period?

The warranty for ZUBR relay is 5 years, for thermostats — 3 years.
