The ZUBR MF2 red multifunction relay has a compact 2 module wide housing. Thanks to three digital screens, simultaneously displays the value of voltage, current and power, which is very convenient when monitoring all parameters at the same time. In standby mode it is possible to adjust the brightness of the screen. The ZUBR MF2 red relay has a wide functionality that combines: ZUBR CV2 functions, current and power control ZUBR MF, as well as the possibility of advanced settings of current limits.
TrueRMS reduces the effect of network interference on the accuracy of voltage measurement when the voltage shape is different from the sinusoid. Thanks to this algorithm, the relay will turn off the load before the voltage surge negatively affects the connected devices.
You can activate a professional switch-off time delay model to reduce the number of outages of modern equipment that works stably under certain power voltage deviations. Thus, the use of ProModel allows you not to turn off the equipment in case of voltage deviations that are safe in size and duration.
The creation of ProModel mode is based on the ITIC (CBEMA) Curve:

The log is capable of storing in non-volatile memory the last 100 alarms (e.g. voltage at relay trip or overtemperature protection trip).
ZUBR MF2 red allows you to set the delay time for switching on the load after an accident, as well as the delay time for switching off the load when the permissible values of current or power are exceeded.
From the factory the relay has a minimum delay for switching on the load of 3 sec. Depending on the type of connected equipment you can set it in the range from 3 to 999 sec. For equipment that is sensitive to frequent power outages, such as refrigerators and air conditioners, it is recommended to set the switch-on delay to 2-3 min.
According to the factory settings, the delay is counted from the moment of voltage stabilization. It is also possible to select another type of delay in the settings, when the countdown starts from the moment when the relay is switched off.
For fast restoration of voltage in the whole house after an emergency operation, set ZUBR R116y for refrigeration equipment that requires a long delay for switching on. And in MF2 red leave a delay from the factory of 3 sec.
Before applying advanced settings, we strongly recommend ensuring that the upper or lower voltage limits are set according to the quality of your specific power supply and that the protected equipment can tolerate them.
Hysteresis is designed to optimize the number of actuations when the mains voltage is close to the set limits and unstable. If it is no longer possible to extend the limits of the voltage range, add hysteresis in the range of 0 to 5 V. Before applying a load to the connected equipment, make sure that the voltage has moved away from the limits by the amount of hysteresis and only then apply a load to it.
To avoid the harmful effects of frequent short-term tripping on the equipment to be protected, activate the «Maximum number of consecutive trips» function. This is necessary to protect equipment that is sensitive to frequent triggering, such as a refrigerator or air conditioner.
When the protection is triggered a set number of times in succession, e.g. 5, the relay will switch off the protected equipment and lock out, with the message «rEP» appearing on the screen. The lockout allows the user to be alerted to a problem in the network or the need to make changes to the relay setting.
Unlock the relay by pressing any button and check the cause of tripping in the Alarm Log. If necessary, change the protection settings if this does not conflict with the capabilities of the connected load.
If for any reason the user did not pay attention to the blocking of the device, the relay will unblock itself after one hour to ensure temporary operation of the protected equipment. Please note that in such a situation it is important to eliminate the cause of frequent relay operation.
It is necessary for those whose network is overloaded with powerful equipment or its quality is insufficient and this leads to frequent voltage sags and, as a consequence, frequent relay tripping. In such a situation it is impossible to directly influence the circumstances, but it is possible to reduce the number of relay trips by setting the time that the relay will wait before disconnecting the load.
For correct setting of the tripping time it is necessary to refer to the data of the protected equipment.
The time set in this way will be valid only when the voltage drops from 154 to 176 V (when the professional model is switched on) or from 120 to 210 V (when the professional model is switched off). In other situations, the tripping time is fixed (see table above).
A thermal sensor inside the enclosure ensures safety and switches the load off if the temperature inside the enclosure exceeds 80°C, the screen will flash «oht». Once the temperature drops below 60°C, the unit will turn the load on and restore operation.
If the protection is triggered more than 5 times in a 24-hour period, the relay will lock and «oht» will be displayed continuously. Eliminate the overheating problem and wait until the temperature inside the relay drops below 60°C - the relay will indicate this by a dot at the end of «oht.» on the screen Then press any button on the relay to unlock.
To view the temperature inside the enclosure during overheating, press the «i» button. If there is no overheating, hold down «i» for 21 sec. to view the temperature.
The ZUBR MF2 red has a convenient standardized input-output connection. It is possible to connect without using the neutral terminal. ZUBR MF2 red relay is very compact, occupies 2 standard modules in a switchboard equipped with a standard DIN rail width of 36 mm. If there is high humidity in the room or there is a possibility of water ingress to the device, then the switchboard must meet the protection class IP55 (according to GOST 14254).
