Mounting tape for installing underfloor heating

Designed to secure heating cables with a diameter of between 5 and 9 mm. It consists of a metal strip with numerous holes and clamps. The tape plays a vital role in the installation of underfloor heating systems and ensures the correct positioning of the heating elements for efficient and even heat distribution throughout the room. The mounting tape is made of galvanised steel, making it strong and flexible, simple and convenient to install, as well as corrosion-resistant. The tape itself can be fixed to a concrete substrate using 6×40 mm wall plugs. It can be attached to a wooden or metal substrate using self-tapping screws.

The main purpose of mounting tape for installing underfloor heating is:

• Installation tape allows heating cables or mats to be securely fixed to the floor. This prevents them from moving or shifting whilst the screed is being poured or tiles are being laid.
• Installation tape provides additional protection for heating cables or mats against damage and punctures whilst the screed is being poured or tiles are being laid.
• Properly secured heating elements ensure an even distribution of heat across the entire floor surface, making the underfloor heating system effective and comfortable for heating the room.
• Correct use of the mounting tape guarantees the reliable and long-lasting operation of the underfloor heating system.

Step-by-step guide to using the tape:

• the floor is levelled using levelling compounds;
• once the floor surface has been prepared, strips of mounting tape are applied;
• the distance between strips of mounting tape must not exceed 1 metre;
• the most convenient distance is 50–70 cm.
