On 26 September 2026, Summit 8 of the «League of Masters» took place at VDNH in Kyiv — an event bringing together master craftsmen, foremen, and representatives of construction companies and brands. This year, DS Electronics had its own stand at the exhibition, showcasing the ZUBR DC electric underfloor heating system.

The ZUBR brand is known to many primarily for its voltage relays; however, for over four years now, we have been developing another product line — electric underfloor heating. Four years is not a particularly long time in this sector, but during this period, ZUBR DC has already been installed in real-world projects and has received feedback from professional fitters and installation companies.
Here you can find out more about how ZUBR DC has been used in real-world objects:
- A warm wall using the ZUBR DC Cable
- Installation of the ZUBR DC Mat underfloor heating system
- What kind of underfloor heating should you choose – cable or mat?
Cable or mat: what’s in the ZUBR DC range
The ZUBR DC range of electric underfloor heating systems includes heating cables and heating mats. Both solutions operate on the same principle, but differ in their design and method of installation.
The heating cable in the mats is 3.6 mm thick, whilst the individual heating cable is 5 mm thick.
ZUBR DC heating mat
In the heating mat, the cable is already fixed at 9 cm intervals on a mesh with a standard width of 50 cm. Therefore, when selecting a heating mat, you are effectively choosing the required length of the mat, whilst its width remains fixed. During installation, the mesh can be carefully cut and the direction in which the mat is laid can be adjusted to suit the layout of the room. Important: only the mesh may be cut – the heating cable must not be cut or mechanically damaged.
Another handy feature of ZUBR DC mats is the self-adhesive mesh, which helps to secure the mat to the surface and makes installation easier.
The set also includes a copper plug for the floor temperature sensor’s installation tube. It helps to correctly determine the sensor’s installation position and to seal the end of the tube securely.

A heating cable is a more cost-effective option that also offers greater flexibility in terms of layout and power output. The cable can be laid in a chase, within the screed, or secured using special mounting tape. The fixing points on the mounting tape are spaced 2.5 cm apart, which allows you to select the required cable spacing whilst taking into account the permissible bending radius. The most commonly used spacing options are 7.5 cm, 10 cm or 12.5 cm.
The specific power output of an underfloor heating system depends directly on the pitch. For example:
- 12.5 cm — approximately 136 W/m²: this is usually sufficient for comfortable surface heating;
- 10 cm — approximately 170 W/m²: this is worth considering when underfloor heating forms part of the main heating system or the room suffers from significant heat loss (for example, a balcony or a first-floor apartment).
The final installation stage and the required system output should be determined taking into account the specific room, its thermal insulation, heat loss and the functions the underfloor heating system is intended to fulfil.
And what do the masters themselves choose?
Summit 8 was not only an opportunity for us to showcase the ZUBR DC, but also a platform for engaging with people who work on real-world sites every day. So, right there at the exhibition, we filmed a short professional battle and asked the participants questions that tradespeople could debate for hours:
- Water or electric underfloor heating?
- Cable or mat?
On the one hand, there is the client, who has already been through eight renovations; on the other, the director of the construction company Nikiforov Pro. Two sides of a renovation project, with different experiences and perspectives on the same solutions.

For DS Electronics, taking part in the «League of Masters» was, above all, an opportunity to listen to the views of the professional community: to find out what solutions installers are using today, what matters to them when carrying out installations, and what criteria they use when selecting electric underfloor heating systems.
And for us, this feedback is one of the most important factors in the further development of ZUBR DC.
